Ongoing impact
2009/2010/2011 Education fees/uniforms/equipment.
Every year since our beginnings, Little Paths have been able to contribute the school fees, uniform and equipment fees ensuring that every child being cared for by the centre, or who have been reintegrated with family after spending time rehabilitating at the centre, attend primary school education. In our time, around 70 students have been enrolled in the local primary school whilst their accomodation, food and health needs were met by COET and 8 students have recently graduated from primary school!! A huge achievement in Tanzania!
2010/2011 Family Reintegration Support.
Little Paths support of COET Reintegration Program saw 20 children reintegrated with family before March 2011. Some placements were successful and some not so successful.
Those that found success in reintegration are still closely connected to COET and Kuleana Centre all are attending school. Those whose families are still requiring intensive support and the children were not as successful are attending school and are working with Kuleana Centre staff in an attempt to secure successful family reintegration.
Little Paths, have contributed the first instalment of $4000 to the program and look forward to assisting COET staff in continuing their success. Currently we are awaiting reports with measured outcomes so that our support of this wonderful program can continue.
Food appeal
During 2011 Kuleana Centre had fallen on hard times and the food bill was becoming an increasingly worrying concern. Little Paths were able to contribute $2000 to ease the pressure on the running costs of the centre. Thanks to the very special sponsor that made this possible!
